Wedding Vendors: How To Hire A Vendor

How do you hire a wedding vendor? We’ve previously written a 3-part series on how to find your perfect wedding photographer. What about all the other wedding vendors? Much of what is on our quest for the perfect wedding photographer series can be applied to hiring other wedding vendors. However, we would like to go a little deeper into this topic.

We have heard several horror stories with our clients about how they paid a caterer or a venue thousands of dollars for their services, only to find out the business just disappeared or could no longer be contacted. This must be a a gut-wrenching experience and definitely a financial disaster. Don’t let this happen to you, please!

The most important thing to remember is to do some due diligence before giving any money to a vendor. Search on the internet for any reviews, ask the wedding vendor for references and contact them, and even check out the Better Business Bureau. Finally, any established business should have testimonials that they can show you as well.
