Handkerchiefs and Pocket Squares: How To Fold Them For Your Tuxedo And Prevent 45 Minutes of Stress

So how do you fold a handkerchief for a tuxedo? We just photographed a wedding this past weekend in Houston, Texas, where the groom and his groomsmen must have spent 45 minutes discussing how a handkerchief, or pocket square, should be folded. Everyone seemed to have a different approach. Needless to say, this was a huge and unanticipated stress factor for the group! As a result, I set out to get the facts and come to the rescue of our future groomsmen!
Based on my research, there many different ways to fold your pocket square, but 3 versions that every man should know. They are simple and if you practice them a couple of times, you should be able to remember them like you remember how to ride a bike. And you, too, can come to the rescue of your fellow groomsmen! The 3 styles are:
1. The Straight Fold
2. The One Corner Fold
3. The Puff Fold
Rather than attempt writing out instructions on how to make these folds, I found a fun and interesting site that has instructions in both writing and in video on how to fold a pocket square at ArtofManliness.com. Check it out and good luck!

I think a save the date wedding handkerchief a great idea. Or also a great gift for the mother of the bride. I have found a wonderful selection of handkerchiefs at very reasonable prices at http://www.weddinghandkerchiefshop.com. They can be embroidered as well. They have a great website and the customer service is excellent!
