PART II: Your Quest For The Perfect Wedding Photographer Ends Here

Welcome to Part II of your quest! As you discovered in Part I of Your Quest For The Perfect Wedding Photographer Ends Here, finding your perfect wedding photographer can take a great deal of effort, however, by asking the right questions the best outcome will be achieved. So, let’s continue!
7. Will you be photographing my wedding?
It is important that the pictures you are being shown are from the person photographing your wedding. Make sure to ask your photographer if he/she is the one that will be photographing your wedding or whether they will be sending a replacement to your event. 8. Will you be bringing an assistant?
Carrying around and setting up equipment can take quite a bit of time especially when moving locations from ceremony to reception. This can potentially take the wedding photographer away from capturing precious moments.
9. Could you provide us with testimonials and references from some of your past clients?
This is a wonderful way to gauge how satisfied a photographer’s clients have been. Don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and call a couple of these references.
10. Do you use professional quality camera equipment and lighting?
If you aren’t into photography, chances are that you won’t have any idea what the differences are between professional and amateur equipment. Don’t worry. Chances are that if the wedding photographer has a camera with interchangeable lenses and has strobe lighting other than the flash sitting on top of their camera, they are using professional camera and lighting equipment.
11. What is the biggest size print that I can make from your images?
Okay, so you don’t need the photograph printed at billboard size, but having an image printable at 24″x36″ is a good thing. This is a beautiful size for prints of your engagement and bridal sessions set up at your wedding reception.
12. Do you have backup equipment in case of a malfunction? Is your backup equipment of the same quality as your normal equipment?
It is extremely important to have backup equipment. Even professional quality equipment can fail on your wedding day. In addition, make sure the photographer has high quality backup equipment as well. You wouldn’t want your wedding being photographed with a little disposable camera would you?
